SNSD dan PSY Masuk Nominasi YouTube Music Awards Pertama

Daftar nominasi YouTube Music Awards 2013 akhirnya resmi diumumkan. Di antara musisi-musisi Barat yang mendominasi, ada dua nama penyanyi K-Pop yang mencuri perhatian di daftar tersebut, Girls' Generation dan PSY.

Girls' Generation menjadi salah satu nominator Video of the Year berkat single "I Got A Boy". Girlband besutan SM Enterainment ini bersaing dengan nama-nama besar seperti One Direction, Lady GaGa, Justin Bieber, Miley Cyrus dan PSY.

Sementara itu, PSY masuk kategori YouTube Phenomenon dengan lagu "Gangnam Style" yang sampai saat ini sudah ditonton oleh hampir 1,8 miliar orang. PSY juga menjadi nominator Artis of the Year dan Video of the Year berkat video musik "Gentleman".

Ada 6 kategori yang diadakan dalam ajang penghargaan pertama YouTube ini. Selain memberikan penghargaan untuk para artis, YouTube juga membuat nominasi untuk fans yang video cover atau parodinya mendapat respon paling banyak lewat kategori Response of the Year.

Para penggemar bisa mendukung idolanya dengan memberikan suara lewat situs resmi YouTube. YouTube Music Awards ini akan digelar 3 November mendatang di New York.
